Noah Davis - September 2015

We would like to congratulate Noah Davis, a sophomore baseball player at Egg Harbor Twp High school, for being named our Patient of the Month for September. Noah sustained an injury to his scapular (shoulder blade) while throwing this summer. He has maintained a positive attitude throughout his treatment, and has begun our return to throwing program. We look forward to seeing him back on the field this upcoming season!

Noah Davis 3DPT: Tell us about your injury that brought you to physical therapy.

Noah: My right shoulder blade area became very sore and kept me from hitting and throwing. The pain wouldn’t quit so I went to Dr. Ralph Franks at the Rothman Institute who advised me to come to 3D for PT.

3DPT: What was the hardest part of your therapy thus far?

Noah: I never realized how little work I have done with my core. My stomach is flat and there are muscles there, but my core needed so much strength work. The exercises are challenging and exhausting.

3DPT: What has coming into therapy taught you?

Noah: Ryan is amazing. Besides knowing everything about my injury and how to make it better, he knows a ton about sports in general, so we have good conversations. He has showed me all about my specific injury and ways to make it better.

3DPT: What are you most looking forward to when you return to the field?

Noah Davis Noah: I miss playing a lot. I miss my team and the fun we have on the field. I am looking forward to using my new found core strength to help me throw and hit better.

3DPT: Who is your favorite baseball player and why?

Noah: Mike Trout is awesome. I like that he is from New Jersey. He gives New Jersey some positive press, which NJ needs.

3DPT: School has just begun. What is your favorite subject and why?

Noah: My mother teaches English at my school, so I probably should say English! But, my favorite subject is History. I love the stories and the facts. I am considering becoming a Social Studies teacher after college.

3DPT: What is your prediction on how the Eagles will finish this year?

Noah: We are a bid Philly sports family. My Dad is a season ticket holder, so of course…The Eagles are going all the way. We are planning a trip to Hawaii at Christmas, but my Dad is considering changing the plans to a Super Bowl trip to California.
