SUMMARY:YIN YOGA at 3DPT Medford
DESCRIPTION:Join Dr. Devan Gallucci\, 3DPT physical therapist and certified yoga instructor for a Yin Yoga class 𝗮𝘁 𝟯𝗗𝗣𝗧 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗱\n\nYin Yoga is a slow paced\, stretching/meditative based class. All poses are performed on the floor. This type of class holds stretches and poses for longer periods of time\, typically between 45 seconds up to 2 minutes. The goal of Yin Yoga is to stretch connective tissue and fascia to release built up tension\, improve joint mobility\, and develop flexibility. Yin Yoga is suitable to all levels of students\, beginner through advanced.\n\nAttendees are encouraged to bring their own mats as the class will be taking place on the floor\, including laying on your back\, stomach and sides. Additionally\, props are typically helpful\, which may include bolsters\, blocks\, pillows\, etc.\, \nThis class is the second in a series of monthly yoga classes that Devan will be offering at 3DPT Medford! DESCRIPTION:On Tuesday\, March 28th\, 3DPT is hosting a free continuing education seminar for Athletic Trainers on the treatment of concussions for athletes\, in partnership with the ATSNJ. \nRenown physician\, Dr. Robert Franks\, will be presenting about updates in the treatment of concussions and return to sport guidelines specifically for athletes. \nAthletic Trainers have the important role of working with athletes of all levels and often are the first to provide treatment on-site when an injury happens on a sports field or court. We are happy to collaborate with the ATSNJ\, Dr. Franks and community athletic trainers to help our local athletes safely get back in the game!
