Mateo Fiordaliso – March 2019

Mateo Fiordaliso - march baseball3DPT: Tell us about your injury that brought you to physical therapy.

Mateo: I broke my wrist near the growth plate from a fall in October 2018.   I had to have surgery, the doctor placed pins to keep my bone in place.  I also had to have the median nerve pressure released during surgery as well.

3DPT: What was the hardest part of your therapy?

Mateo: I would say that the hardest part was gaining strength back in my wrist and getting full motion again.

3DPT: What has coming into therapy taught you?

Mateo: It has taught me that even though I felt like I would not be able to play baseball, therapy gave me confidence that I would be able to get back out there on the field again.  I felt very comfortable knowing Ryan did everything he could to help me get back out on the field.

3DPT: What are you most looking forward to when you return to the field?

Mateo: I am looking forward to becoming a better baseball player and being able to develop a better understanding of the game.

3DPT: Who is your favorite sports team? Favorite player and why?

Mateo: The Philadelphia Phillies.  Bryce Harper- He is someone I look up too and admire his work ethic in baseball.

3DPT: What do you like to do for fun?

Mateo: I play travel baseball so that’s my favorite thing to do.  I also like to ride bikes with my friends and play Fortnite.
