Why I became a Physical Therapist
I was always interested in a career in healthcare, however I did not know I wanted to be a physical therapist until I started working in a PT clinic during my undergraduate career. I valued the relationships I saw those physical therapists made with their patients, and it sparked my interest in pursuing this career. I enjoy getting to spend time learning about my patients and playing a pivotal role in their success. I also have been active throughout my life, especially being involved in dance from a young age, so PT was a great career to combine my interests in physical activity and healthcare.

What I feel are the most important qualities in a physical therapist

It is important for physical therapists to be adaptable and creative. No day is ever the same in the clinic, so physical therapists need to be able to switch their plan based on how their patient presents in order to be the most effective. There are many ways to achieve a patient’s goals, so being able to tailor sessions to their specific needs and interests is an important skill for a physical therapist to have.

Personal Hobbies/interests
In my free time, I love attending concerts, checking out new brunch spots, and going to group exercise classes!
