Why I want to become a Physical Therapist
I always knew I wanted to work in healthcare and helping to make people feel better, but disliked the idea of prescriptions being “take this pill and go”. I love the idea of continuously being active in the patient’s plan of care and their progress. I enjoy being a resource to help give patients the tools and education to help themselves now and in the future.
What do you feel are the most important qualities in a physical therapist
I believe all aspects of patient communication are important to being a quality physical therapist. Having a welcoming personality and allowing patients to be more comfortable around you can be very helpful to building a strong therapist-patient relationship. It’s also important to be able to explain things simply and speak with a friendly tone to improve patient education.
Personal Interests/hobbies
I enjoy running, volleyball, soccer, golf, and most things that involve being active; especially outside and with friends. I also really enjoy trying new cooking recipes (especially soups).
