Why I became a Physical Therapist
Similar to many of 3DPT’s team members, my journey to becoming a physical therapist started as a patient at 3DPT Medford when I was in high school. From a young age, I knew I wanted to pursue a career where I could connect with and help others. As a soccer player I found myself in PT for various injuries, which is when I first became fascinated by human anatomy and how each system in our body works together. I loved the way that each physical therapist was able to connect with their patients, provide both hands on interventions and education, and most importantly allow every person to have an active role in their care. It was during that time I realized a career as a PT would be the perfect blend of my passions, allowing me to guide and help others during their most vulnerable moments and get them back to doing what they love!
What I feel are the most important qualities in a physical therapist
- Active listening
- Adaptability
- Empathy
- A desire to learn
Personal interests & hobbies
- I grew up playing soccer throughout high school and college, so I am always staying active whether it be by running, going for a long walk, or jumping in a pickup soccer game.
- I love taking trips to Ocean City, NJ in the summer and spending time with family and friends.
- In my downtime I love to read, or watch whichever Philly sports team is in season!
