Why I became a Physical Therapist

I always knew I wanted to do something in healthcare but I wasn’t sure what direction I wanted to go in. My love of sports and exercise led me to considering physical therapy as a career option. After shadowing a physical therapist, I realized that physical therapy combined my love for anatomy and exercise with my desire to help people feel better in their daily life.

What I feel are the most important qualities in a physical therapist

  • Compassionate
  • Strong communication skills
  • Positive attitude
  • A desire for lifelong learning

Personal interests & hobbies

  • I enjoy playing sports, going on walks with family/ friends, reading, and trying new coffee shops.
  • I love watching football (especially the Eagles).
  • I love to be outside, whether that is at the beach or on a mountain to ski. One of my favorite things is throwing the football on the beach/ in the ocean.
