Why I became a Physical Therapist

My interest in physical therapy started unlike many athletes growing up who describe experiencing several bouts of physical therapy themselves and falling in love with the profession. As an athlete for over 20 years, I was lucky enough to never sustain any serious injuries. However I was first introduced to the profession as a freshman at the University of the Sciences, where many of my teammates were physical therapy majors. Fun fact: my first clinical rotation was my very first time in a PT clinic. I have continued to fall in love with physical therapy throughout my graduate school experience

What I feel are the most important qualities in a physical therapist

I feel the most important qualities in a physical therapist include passion, empathy, drive and adaptability.
