Why I Became a Physical Therapist
I became a physical therapist because returning patients to their normal function is incredibly rewarding. I know from experience how frustrating and isolating an injury can be. I try to form bonds with all my patients by listening closely to their complaints, asking about their personal lives, and learning what their goals are. These conversations are the foundation for my treatment plans and help me understand what is salient to the patient. When I can work with patients for a few weeks and get them back to what they want to do, I am reminded of why I love physical therapy.
