Why I became an Occupational Therapist

I grew up learning Indian dance that was heavily focused on intricate hand and arm motion. This drew me to the hand therapy field as I could imagine how each hand to shoulder diagnosis could have an effect on day to day life, leisure passions and work tasks. I also loved the strong tie between art and science with custom splints and tailored exercise prescriptions.
