Taking 3DPT’s Haddon clinics to new Heights

Congratulations to 2 3DPT Physical Therapists who recently got promoted to Clinic Director. Dr. Lauren Wagner is now the Clinic Director of 3DPT Haddon Heights and Dr. Mark Frasco is now the Clinic Director of 3DPT Haddon Township. Here’s more on what makes them great PTs and leaders at 3DPT!

Lauren Wagner – Clinic Director, Haddon Heights

Dr. Lauren Wagner started with 3DPT as a student at the Haddon Township clinic back in 2019 and then became a full time PT there after graduation. In the years since, Lauren has gone above and beyond for her patients and co-workers! She’s created programs like our Senior Exercise class series & the 3DPT Couch to 5k program, led workshops and educational seminars and has captured the hearts of many patients along the way. She’s also committed herself to becoming the best PT she can by earning certifications in Dry Needling and recently became Board Certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, which is no easy task! Lauren had to complete a one year residency program, or 𝟮,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 of hands on work before taking and PASSING a rigorous board examination!

Lauren moved to 3DPT Haddon Heights in 2021 and has now become the Clinic Director there! She’s been a great leader to the team there and continues to be an amazing resource to her patients! Here’s what she had to say about her time at 3DPT so far:

My journey with 3DPT began back in April 2019 when I was still a physical therapy student. I was placed on my final clinical rotation at the Haddon Township location. I immediately fell in love with the atmosphere at 3DPT, from the camaraderie amongst the therapists and staff, the high quality of patient care and interaction, and the company’s values as a whole. This final clinical experience made me become even more passionate about physical therapy, and I was grateful for that in itself. As I was nearing the end of my rotation, I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to be offered a job in the Haddon Township office beginning that fall.

It was six months into my career when we found ourselves in a global pandemic. Despite all the stress and uncertainty that this caused, one thing was for sure: I only became more passionate about finding different and unique ways to help my patients and more thankful to work for such an awesome company. I worked for 2 and a half years in our Haddon Township office where I had the opportunity to form amazing friendships with my coworkers, develop my skills as a clinician, work with a lot of amazing patients to reach their goals, and mentor 2 clinical students (one of which – Sophia Wang – you can find in our Cherry Hill office!)

In May of 2022, I transitioned to our Haddon Heights office where I had the opportunity to make an impact on a new community and even more amazing patients. I was super excited for this transition, because it meant that I would get to work with Jess Jennings again. Jess was one of my clinical instructors as a student here and then as my boss while we both worked in Haddon Township. She has had a monumental impact on my career through her mentorship and constant support for me to work toward my goals. This only made it all the more exciting for me when she offered me a position as clinic director for her office in Haddon Heights. I definitely did not take the transition from clinician to clinical director lightly as I knew I had big shoes to fill and a lot to learn. I have been in this position for 7 months now, and in that time we have reached some awesome goals in our clinic as we become busier than ever and continue to add to our amazing team. I can’t wait to see all that we accomplish in the years to come! In addition to becoming clinic director this year, I have also studied and passed a board exam to become an orthopedic clinical specialist, become certified in dry needling, and mentored another clinical student. One key thing I have learned over the past 4 years as I reflect on these achievements is that none of this would have been possible without the endless support from my peers and mentors as well as the overall encouragement from 3DPT as a company to continue to set goals while providing resources to achieve them.

The past 4 years have been pretty busy in my personal life, as well. Since starting with 3DPT, I have bought a house, gotten engaged and married, celebrated the love and marriages of a lot of my friends and family, and taken several awesome vacations. In my free time, you can find me on the beach whenever possible, hanging with my husband and our dog – Riley, listening to country music at home or in concert, and watching any and all Philly sports events.

I truly believe that the saying “love what you do and you’ll never work a day in your life” is absolutely true. Every day I get to go into work to be greeted by the smiles and positive attitudes of the 3DPT Heights team, and then spend the day working with patients to overcome their individual injuries or adversities to improve their overall quality of life. I think it is a common consideration that we as PT’s inflict a positive change in the lives of our patients, but in reality I feel that they are helping to improve our lives, as well. Every single day, I get to form a great connection with each of my patients, and helping them reach their goals only helps me to feel even more fulfilled. I can only hope that now as a clinical director, I can be a positive influence for our team of therapists and staff in helping them to reach their highest potential and goals while enjoying their experience along the way.

Mark Frasco – Clinic Director, 3DPT Haddon Township

Dr. Mark Frasco joined 3DPT just over a year ago but has already made a big impact at 3DPT and the Haddon Township clinic! Mark grew up in Haddon Township and he has a deep connection to the community. He is also an avid runner (cross country star and marathon runner!) and uses his own experience and passion to help his patients heal and thrive in their own activities. Mark was recently promoted to Clinic Director at 3DPT Haddon Township and has been a wonderful mentor to the team there. Here’s what Mark had to say about his time at 3DPT so far:

It’s hard to believe that my physical therapy career started over 4 years ago. It seems like yesterday that I was just starting my cadaver dissection lab in graduate school!

After graduating from the University of the Sciences in 2019, my fiance and I moved to Salt Lake City, UT to travel and explore the wild west. I began my physical therapy career working 40 miles west of Salt Lake City in rural Tooele county for an outpatient orthopedic PT clinic.

I learned a lot during my time spent working in Tooele, UT. Believe it or not, I saw almost 30 patients a day- and sometimes up to 45! The most important lesson I learned was the value of having 1 one 1 time with your patients. You can’t possibly give quality patient care seeing 5 people at the same time!

After 3 years, my fiance and I decided to move back to South Jersey to reconnect with family and friends. As I was preparing for the move back east, I also had to find a new place to work.

I set my eyes on the one physical therapy company that kept popping up on “best places to work” lists; 3 Dimensional Physical Therapy. And as an added bonus, they had a clinic right in my hometown of Haddon Township.

I was more than grateful to have the opportunity to join the 3DPT Haddon Township team in 2022 and I could not have asked for a better company to work for. 3DPT is the only physical therapy company that puts patient care over profit and gives its physical therapists the time to give the best care possible. It has been incredible to be able to connect with and treat people of my hometown community.

I am also more than grateful that I now have the opportunity to step in as the new clinic director of the Haddon Township office! I am excited to continue to give the best possible care to Haddon Township and our surrounding communities.

I am looking forward to working in HT for many years to come. If you don’t see me in the clinic, I hope you’ll find me running around town or grabbing a beer at the square!
