3DPT’s Couch to Oktoberfest 5k

On October 19, 2024, 3DPT will be hosting our 1st Annual 3DPT’s Oktoberfest 5k and 1 mile Fun Run!

This is exciting not only because we are big fans of running around here, but this event is especially meaningful because 100% of the funds raised will be donated to the St. Christopher’s Hospital food pantry in honor of Danny Hill, 3DPT employee and legend, who died of osteosarcoma in 2021.

Our goal is to have over 300 patients, friends and community members participate and to raise over $10,000!

Of course, participants will enjoy a first-class event! The race will run though historic downtown Medford, NJ and all participants will receive the most comfortable race T-shirts, finish line giveaways, and quality prizes for the top runners in each age group!

Couch to Oktoberfest 5k Program

To get ready for the Oktoberfest 5k, we’re launching a Couch to Oktoberfest 5k program – 8 weeks of gradual training that will help anyone go from couch-sitting to 5k race running!

Running is a great way to get active without a gym membership or equipment. All you need is a pair of running shoes, a goal, a plan and some motivation and 3DPT is here to help (at least with the plan, goal and motivation parts!)

The Goal: Run the 3DPT’s Oktoberfrest 5k (3.1 miles) on October 19, 2024

 The Plan:

On this page you’ll find all you need to start the “Couch to Oktoberfest 5k” program, including a day-by-day plan to go from no running experience to running a 5k. You’ll also find articles, nutrition tips and videos from 3DPT therapists and other healthcare professionals to support your journey.

The program will run from Monday, August 26th to race day on Saturday, October 19th
