Why I am pursuing Physical Therapy
I fell in love with the health & wellness field after being a competitive swimmer for the majority of my life. My favorite coach growing up was a PT and after visiting his office one day I knew it was what I wanted to do with my life. Providing patients the confidence and ability to live their best lives is the most rewarding experience. I continue to live by a quote one of my TAs once said: “medicine adds days to your life and PT adds life to your days”.

What I feel are the most important qualities in a physical therapist
I feel that anyone in healthcare, but specifically physical therapy, should be attentive, creative, empathetic, encouraging, and a good problem solver. It’s also important to be a good communicator among the healthcare team and have a strong desire to pursue lifelong education.

Personal interests & hobbies
In my free time I love long distance running, reading, traveling and trying new restaurants with friends and family.
