… And it’s new owner, Dr. Kristin Cavorley!
Our mission at 3DPT is to Raise the standard for the healthcare and workplace experience to best serve our community. We achieve this by providing the best environment, physical therapy care and customer service to everyone that chooses 3DPT as a patient or team member; and perhaps more important, by committing to continuously improve how we can do that.
That’s why we’re excited to announce 3DPT Pelvic Health, our new specialty service sister company providing only pelvic floor physical therapy! 3DPT Pelvic Health expands our services so we can provide the best comprehensive care to our patients and the communities around us.
About 3DPT Pelvic Health
Pelvic health physical therapy works directly with the muscles of the pelvic floor. These muscles are important for controlling our bowel, bladder, and sexual function. They are also important for providing stability to our hips and lower back. Similar to working with other muscles in the body, a pelvic floor physical therapist assesses the flexibility, strength, and tone of the pelvic floor muscles, and then develops a plan to treat the impairments that are found.
Pelvic health physical therapy offers a wide range of benefits for individuals of all ages dealing with various pelvic floor disorders. 3DPT Pelvic Health physical therapists focus on strengthening and rehabilitating the pelvic floor muscles, which can lead to improved bladder and bowel control, significant pain reduction, and enhanced sexual function. It also provides crucial support during pregnancy and postpartum recovery, aids in the management of pelvic organ prolapse, and facilitates post-surgical rehabilitation for pelvic surgeries.
Dr. Kristin Cavorley is the new owner of 3DPT Pelvic Health. She has been a physical therapist at 3DPT for the past year, offering pelvic floor and orthopedic PT. Moving forward Kristin will only be providing pelvic floor physical therapy through 3DPT Pelvic Health, allowing her to focus solely on the rehabilitation and care of those needing pelvic health services.
Here’s what she had to say about her journey and future with 3DPT Pelvic Health:
I always knew that I wanted to be a health care professional. During my middle school years, I had to go to physical therapy and I immediately fell in love with the profession. I attended Stockton University for undergraduate and graduate school. I graduated from Stockton University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program in Spring of 2020.
I started my career as an acute care and an orthopedic physical therapist for the first three years of my professional career. I was introduced to pelvic floor physical therapy in 2021 where I was given the opportunity to shadow a pelvic floor therapist and learn the speciality. I developed a deep passion for the pelvic floor specialty as I continued to learn from my mentor and when I took the post graduate courses. I eventually migrated to solely an orthopedic and a pelvic floor practitioner with a goal and passion to become a full time pelvic floor therapist to be able to provide a service that is underserviced in our community.

Becoming a pelvic floor physical therapist has been a fulfilling and purposeful journey that aligns with my passion for helping others and fostering holistic health. Over the years, I’ve witnessed firsthand the transformative impact that pelvic floor therapy can have on people’s lives. Whether it’s empowering women in their pregnancy journey, aiding in postpartum recovery, alleviating chronic pelvic pain, or improving the quality of life for individuals suffering from bowel and bladder disorders. The work I do directly empowers patients to regain their confidence and live without fear of physical limitations.
I am deeply excited and honored about the opportunity to become a partner of 3 Dimensional Physical Therapy and start the Pelvic Health division. I am committed to educating the community about pelvic floor and providing quality services. I’m truly honored and energized to embark on this new chapter!
